Get Excited!!!
September 2, 2008 marks the beginning of The Hub New Year!

Just like you we are gearing back up for the school year. Our theme this year is “Head, Heart, Hands”. We will be exploring what it means to be a Christ follower in our everyday lives.

Our teaching team will begin with the Head by guiding us through the book of Hebrews and examining the different ways Jesus interacted with ordinary people.

In addition to that we will launch two new interactive programs called, Thrift Store and Pages. The Thrift Store will advance our goal of deep community by allowing you to bring in CD’s, books or other items that have impacted you in a significant way and share them with others in the group. Pages will act as an outlet for you to share your story with others. These stories will be written as non-fiction biographies and made available for anyone in the group to read. Our hope is these two new components will deepen community by being the heart of Christ.

Bible Study will relaunch in a very different way this fall. We are calling it Deeper:Experience. Basically, we are going to take our biblical knowledge out into the real world. We are going to discuss issues like politics and world religions and then go out and experience what those issues are all about. For example, politics might involve an initial look at Scripture and discussion on the biblical view of politics followed by the experience of a political rally and the service of volunteering to register voters. Deeper:Experience will allow us to be the hands of Jesus out in the world.

Mens and Womens activities will also gear back up this fall as we encourage discipleship and mentoring within and outside our community. We have a desire to see those being poured into also pouring out to others. In addition to this, T-Time will also start back up on Sunday afternoons at IBC.

Stay tuned for specific dates! We have a wonderful leadership team this year that is ready to serve and grow in community.
